Disabled People’s Rehabilitation Project in Nordic Countries

At the Dorothea Orem Foundation for Nursing and Public Health, we are committed to elevating healthcare standards worldwide, with a special focus on vulnerable communities. Expanding our mission, we have launched the Disabled People’s Rehabilitation Project in Sweden and Denmark, aiming to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This initiative is made possible through the generous contributions of prospective donors from the European Union (EU) and the United States (USA).

Objectives of the Project

Strengthening Rehabilitation Services: Collaborating with healthcare institutions to improve rehabilitation programs and accessibility.
Training Professionals: Equipping healthcare workers with specialized rehabilitation skills through workshops and training.
Providing Assistive Technologies: Distributing mobility aids and digital health solutions for enhanced patient care.
Advocacy and Policy Support: Promoting inclusive policies and disability rights for better societal integration.
Community Integration: Establishing rehabilitation centers and fostering inclusive community initiatives.

Impact of the Project

Since its launch, the Disabled People’s Rehabilitation Project has already started making a meaningful impact. With our strategic partnerships and dedicated funding, we have been able to:

Improve access to specialized rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities.
Train healthcare professionals in Sweden and Denmark in cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques.

Eligibility Requirements:

Open to EU citizens or Non-EU citizens with a valid work permit.
Valid authorization from the Danish Patient Safety Authority is mandatory.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Danish is a plus.
