Dorothea Orem Foundation for Nursing and Public Health is a private not profit organization committed to enhancing global nursing and public health standards. Inspired by Dorothea Orem, a pioneer in nursing theory, we aim to advance healthcare practices worldwide. Our aim is to elevate public health and nursing standards in lower and middle-income countries across Asia and Africa.
By forming strategic partnerships and receiving generous donations from national and international benefactors, we provide essential resources, education, and support to healthcare professionals in these regions.
We are registered by the Department of Justice of the State of California.
We offer scholarships to nurses and public health experts, enabling them to pursue postgraduate studies in public health nursing. Our goal is to empower these professionals with advanced knowledge and skills, which they can then bring back to their communities to effect meaningful change.
We conduct training programs, workshops, and seminars aimed at building the capacity of healthcare workers. By equipping them with the latest knowledge and best practices, we ensure they are well-prepared to tackle the unique health challenges faced by their communities.
We support research initiatives that address critical health issues in low and middle-income countries. By fostering innovation, we aim to develop sustainable solutions that improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life.
Since our inception, we have made significant strides in improving public health and nursing education. Our scholarship recipients have gone on to make substantial contributions in their fields, leading initiatives that have improved healthcare delivery and outcomes in their respective countries.
At the Dorothea Orem Foundation, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and compassion. Our team consists of passionate professionals who are dedicated to making a difference in global health, particularly in lower and middle-income countries across Asia and Africa.
Although we currently have no vacancies, we are always on the lookout for talented and motivated individuals to join our mission. If you are passionate about public health and nursing, and share our commitment to improving healthcare standards worldwide, we encourage you to stay connected with us for future opportunities.
